Welcome to the website of Caterham Baptist Church. Caterham is a small town south of London, England. It is just inside the M25, the London orbital motorway – sometimes the world’s biggest circular carpark –  at junction 6. It consists of two halves – Caterham-on-the-Hill and Caterham-in-the-Valley – separated by a precipitous drop euphemistically called "Church Hill". Our building is in the valley.

The church building is in a residential area with a wide variety of housing: 19th century terraces and cottages, modern houses, blocks of council flats, retirement complexes.

Our aim is to bring the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ to this area for his honour and for the eternal good of the souls around us. Many of our activities attempt to create opportunities for spreading this wonderful message.

The church has about 90 members and we have a Sunday morning congregation of about 100-120. The building we meet in – the front is shown above – was built by church members in the 1970's. The building next door, “The Manse”, was formerly where the minister lived, but now comprises offices and small meeting rooms. In 2005 the buildings were refurbished and extended to provide improved disabled access, extra classroom space and better kitchen facilities.
