If you are having trouble with downloading/streaming sermons some of the following may help.
Right click on the link and select “Save target as...” to download the file to a folder of your choice or left click on the link and the MP3 should stream in your default media layer. - If it opens as a page of garbage text click on the back button and try again - that frequently cures it. - If it does not stream but starts a download to a temporary file instead (a) you may have Internet security set to prevent scripts running - indicated by a warning bar above the web page Please enable ActiveX and scripts for this page (b) you may not have chosen a default media player for MP3 files. To set up Windows Media Player as default click on Tools, then Options, then Filetypes and make sure that the box is ticked next to MP3 audio file. For QuickTime the sequence is Edit, then Preferences, then QuickTime Preferences, then expand (click on + in the box) MP3 - MPEG layer III movies and streams, then tick the box next to MP3 audio.
Be aware that the sermons are typically around 5MB in size, which will take a long time if you rely on dial-up connection. It might be advisable to use a download manager so that you can continue where you left off if your download is interrupted for any reason.
At present I do not find that having Vista is at all helpful! I do not know how to make it stream. Any advice would be welcome. (Yes, I do know the obvious advice: ditch Vista!)
